We are proud to officially launch the Ubuntu Ambassadors Program, bringing together our past mentees as they continue to advocate, inspire, and become voices of change within their communities. Through leadership, creativity, and storytelling, these young ambassadors are carrying forward the mission of Ubuntu and empowering others along the way.

As part of this exciting new chapter, we have also kicked off a collaboration on the Water Aid Digital Library, where our ambassadors are creating digital content and educational resources for local schools to use. This initiative is helping expand access to learning, raise awareness around water issues, and give young people the opportunity to educate and inspire their communities through technology and creativity.

As part of this event, we also held a school awareness day where, alongside our water-themed art, we had the opportunity to host an interactive water scarcity stand. Ubuntu ambassadors spoke with students from ASB about the real challenges communities face in accessing clean water and the importance of sustainable solutions. We also hosted a separate stand focused on the act of giving, where students came together to support our mission and helped raise funds toward three of the five water tanks we are working to complete in honor of World Water Day 2026. The day was a powerful reminder of how education, creativity, and compassion can come together to inspire meaningful change.

We were proud to join the Refuge Art School Project at the American School of Barcelona, a meaningful initiative centered around a series of creative art activities focused on water awareness. Our Global Art Class, together with children from Africa and India, collaborated with the Year 4 students to create beautiful water-themed artwork as we worked together to raise awareness about water scarcity. The project became a powerful celebration of creativity, connection, and global unity through art and education.

We are happy to welcome the children from Mildmay Youth Centre on this fun-filled journey of art, creativity, learning, and self-expression.

Happy to welcome back the children from our Water Aid India project, where we approach water scarcity in a holistic way by installing water filters in schools while also making water education part of the curriculum. This year, we are proud to continue our work with the all-girls schools in Icchapur and Jamgaon, empowering young girls through clean water, health awareness, and education for a brighter future.

The Mildmay Youth Centre has taken over the Ubuntu Reports Podcast as a powerful platform to spread awareness, share real stories, and give young people in Africa a voice for the future. Through open conversations, creativity, and bold ideas, these young leaders are inspiring change, raising awareness on issues that matter, and showing the world the power of youth-driven impact.

We are happy to welcome the children from Mildmay Youth Centre on this fun-filled journey of art, creativity, learning, and self-expression.

As we start off a new collaboration with Mildmay Kenya, we also provided their youth centre with the much-needed supplies ahead of joining our global art class. 

As we continue teaching art as part of the school curriculum at Saint Williams and Korando, we are inspired by the creativity and talent of every child. Art gives students a voice, builds confidence, and encourages self-expression, but our schools are currently in need of essential art supplies to keep these programs growing. Every contribution can help nurture young minds and create brighter opportunities through creativity and learning.

The second phase of our Ubuntu Water Projects continues our commitment to providing clean, safe, and sustainable water access to communities in need. In support of the girl child and in honor of World Water Day 2026, this phase focuses on reducing the burden placed on young girls who often walk long distances to fetch water, affecting their education and well-being. By improving access to clean water, we are helping create healthier communities, empowering girls to stay in school, and building a future rooted in dignity, opportunity, and hope.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative we are proud supporters of the water project and are happy to have contributed towards Alufu Community 2 in Kenya and their spring water source protection project.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative an orphan elephant through the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, named Kaikai, less than a year old and thriving in the care of the SWT’s Nairobi Nursery.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative we continue to support the sheldrick wildlife trust in their conservation efforts. We have contributed towards a further 50 indigenous tree saplings, grown in their own Nurseries that will help to reforest critical habitats for wildlife.

The Ubuntu Family Initiative and Larkin a wonderfu Student from the American School of Barcelona are happy to share that our "SHAPE" fundraiser was a great success and we raised 2197 Euros in aid of the valuable efforts and projects that Better me  supports with the children at at Korando.

And just before we wrap up for the summer, as a Global Art Class, we’re proud to have inspired more than 8,000 children worldwide. We recognize that times are changing, and as we pause some of our in-person contacts due to evolving dynamics in humanitarian aid and social work, we’re excited to welcome new groups of children who will join us online permanently. With that, we warmly welcome a class of 50 students from Saint Williams School in Kisumu, Kenya.

As part of the Ubuntu Family Initiative and our collaboration with WaterAid India, we had the opportunity this year to distribute portable water filters to students in local schools as part of our ongoing mission to improve access to clean water.

As part of our Mission for Water, we also took the opportunity to install fluoride filters in three additional schools, further expanding access to safe drinking water.

We’ve been supporting the students at Aturgaon High School with extracurricular art classes, and during our recent field visit, we were scheduled to deliver to Aturgaon the necessary supplies for them to comfortably continue participating in our Global Art Class.

During our visit, we took the opportunity to connect with the girls we’ve been working with online and conducted a Matisse inspired water-themed art class. It was a truly delightful moment to meet them in person and share in a meaningful and creative experience together.

As part of our Mission for Water, we also participated in Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) awareness programs on site and distributed menstrual hygiene packs to the girls, supporting their health, dignity, and well-being.

​

We have been long-time supporters of CORP India and their shelters. As part of our revisit program, we took the opportunity to assess the current needs at the shelters and decided to repaint the interior of the building. During our visit, it was heartwarming to meet the new children and reconnect with the familiar faces we’ve come to know over the years. Seeing the refurbishment work in progress made the experience all the more meaningful and we look forward to extending our work into this shelter which foster the smaller children.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative, we marked the occasion of our 100th online art class by returning to CORP India to spend a few days with the children at the shelter. Our visit had a dual purpose: to reconnect with the children and to work on a water-themed art project as part of our Mission for Water in India this year.

The project focused on Picasso’s Doves of Peace, aligning beautifully with our belief that “everything starts with water.” It was truly heartwarming to see how the children have grown since our last visit and to witness the positive impact of the structure and support provided by CORP India.

We also took the opportunity to gift the children art kits as a memento of our visit and to set an intention for the next 100 classes.

​

Since celebrating our 100th online art class with Better Me, we have been looking to expand our art activities to schools they support in the area. During their recent visit to Saint Williams School, the Better Me team introduced our Global art class activity wearing our Tshirts and gifted the children with art kits to inspire their creativity.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative this year we had the opportunity ro return to Better me and spend time with our scholar Monica. She specifically asked us for books as she loves reading, so books it was. We will continue following her in her progress.​

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative this year we have focused on water and with that have started our own water projects. Water and education are fundamentally related and so we decided to install water tanks with rainwater ctavhment systems in the hoe of our scholars. Here we are at Belindas home in Kisumu kenya. On this occasion we also equally spent time with Belinda and provided her with new highschool sets of uniforms.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative on the occasion of our 100th online art class we made our way back to Better Me ans spend three consecutive days working on a Imagination Poster with the children from grade 7. The project allowed for the children to identify their likes and dislikes, talk about their emotions, think about home etc . We truly enjoyed this quality time with the children and look forward to continuing our work with them. We also took the opportuity to put up their art work throughout their classrooms.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative this year we have decided to focus even further on Water and with the Ark Fundraiser in place for Better Me, we leaped!  And have now accomplished the construction of the entire block of showers that will serve the boys and girls at Korando.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative we have long been wanting to access the schools in the slums of nairobi to share with them our art classes. Our friends at AIP sponsor a school in the Ithogoro where we had the opportunity to do a wonderful art class. Since we have been on contact with Caleb and the children have been progressing beautifully.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative this year we had the opportunity to travel along with our friends at AIP as they were on a mission for water. Our visit allowed us to spend time with 7 diffrent Masai Communities and distribute basic need bags along the way to the children of the communities. 

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative with our focus on Water with the help of Water Aid India, we have now kicked off online art classes with the government all girls Atturghaon school in Chattisgarh. Aside from contributing towards their art education on a weekly basis, this is also the first step in us adding water projects to the  mentoring for impact programs and creating a platform for exchange through the language of art for students.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative we are proud supporters of the water project and are happu to have contributed towards the Lutaso primary school in Kenya for their new water well.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative we continue to support the sheldrick wildlife trust in their conservation efforts. We have contributed towards a further 100 indigenous tree saplings, grown in their own Nurseries that will help to reforest critical habitats for wildlife.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative, we have sent a number of new books to Peru Volunteers for the market library they keep available for children.

As the Ubuntu Family Initiative, we are happy to be able to help the scholars at Peruvian Hearts with anything that ma y be of need during their studies. This times it turns out some of our scholars needed new mattresses  .
